Philippe Tadger, physiotherapist and osteopath in Brussels

Experience tells me where to look. Your tests tell me what to do.

I am Philippe Tadger, physiotherapist and osteopath in Brussels, with close to twenty years of clinical practice across Venezuela, Colombia, Spain and Belgium, and a research career alongside it. That much pattern recognition narrows the search quickly. It does not end it, because the pattern still has to be confirmed on you: what provokes the pain, what settles it, what changes when we load it differently.

So expect questions, a lot of them, and expect me to re-test after the first treatment rather than assume it worked. Most cases follow a route I have walked many times. The ones that do not are the reason I keep testing. And if your problem sits outside my scope, expect me to say so and send you to the right person.

Getting out of pain is stage one, not the finish

Most people arrive in the first stage and stop there. You do not have to. The work has grown into three layers, and each one is built on the last.

1. Take the pain down

Mechanical pain has a mechanism. We find what provokes it and what calms it, treat that, then re-test to see whether the hypothesis held. For many problems this is the whole job.

2. Find the weak link

Once the irritable phase is over the question changes to why it happened to you. Is the lumbar spine moving too much, and in which direction? Where does the chain give way under load? Your own test results build the programme: strength, endurance, control.

3. Go deeper than the symptom

With the pain settled and capacity rebuilt, we can work the layers underneath: other joints and regions through osteopathic treatment, together with lifestyle work and an assessment of your autonomic nervous system. This is the part that goes past not hurting, and towards performing.

Two ways to book

DoctorAnytime, the times above. Pick an hour, confirm, done. Use this if you just want an appointment.

The practice portal at my.somalynk.com. You choose the day, the time and the session length, then answer a short intake before you arrive. It takes a few minutes more, and it means the first session starts with your history already read rather than written down in the room. Your record then stays in the portal between visits.

What to expect at your first visit

Plan for about forty five minutes. Wear or bring clothing you can move in. Bring your prescription if you have one for physiotherapy, your identity card, and any imaging reports.

We talk first, then test, then treat. Treatment is hands on and adjusted to what the assessment shows. Nothing happens without an explanation of why.

Paying for your session

You pay the full fee at the end of the session. There is no third party payment here, so nothing is billed directly to your mutuality. You receive an attestation on the spot and submit it to your mutuality yourself, which then reimburses you its share.

Physiotherapy and osteopathy are reimbursed on different terms, and the amount depends on your mutuality and on whether you have a prescription. If the cost matters to your decision, call before you book and you will get a straight answer.

Ready when you are

Choose a time above and the booking form arrives pre-filled, or request a slot through the practice portal if you would rather do the intake first. If you would sooner talk it through, call and ask. Two minutes on the phone is often enough to know whether this is the right care for your problem.

Or call +32 498 77 47 42.
