Back-related leg pain can come from a lumbar nerve root, the sciatic nerve itself, or another source that refers down the leg, so the pattern matters more than the label.
The seated slump slider is used when sitting, bending, or straightening the knee makes the symptoms more obvious and the nerve needs a gentler way to move.

What this involves
- Sit on a chair, slumped, letting the lower and mid back round
- Position A: straighten the knee and pull the toes up towards you, while at the same time looking up and extending the neck
- Position B: bend the knee and point the toes away, while tucking the chin down to the chest
How much
Use the movement in short, gentle bouts and build only if symptoms settle well.

Safety note
Nerve work should never provoke lasting pain. A mild pull or a familiar tingle that settles within seconds is fine. Sharp pain, or symptoms that are still worse the next morning, means you did too much. Do less, not more
